Medals:
500m races – Glasses for the winning crew only
1000m races – New Masters, Mixed Masters and Open Masters – Gold medal for the winning crew only
1000m races – Age Category Events only – Gold, Silver and Bronze medals (2nd and 3rd placings must beat another crew i.e. 3 crews in a race – Gold and Silver medals only will be awarded.
7000m race – one set of each: Gold, Silver and Bronze medals – awarded for boat class/crew closest to 100% prognostic.
Trophies: Victor Ludorum Cup plus $1000 cash prize for the Winning Club.
This prize is for the 2-day event calculated on points won and number of entries per club. Composite Crews can earn medals, but points are NOT awarded towards the Winning Club total.
- Entry Fees: Includes 4 Events and Social Event on Saturday and 1 Event on Sunday
(Additional Events on Saturday will be charged at $10/sliding seat/event)
- Legion Member: $100 per rower.
- Non-Legion Member: $120 per rower.
- Coxswain Only (must be a non-rower): Entry – No Charge, dinner NOT included
The Legion will invoice each Club for the Legion regatta fees.
Rowing NZ Competitors’ licences are not required for this regatta.
25. Mixed Crews: In events for mixed crews, the crew shall consist of at least 50% women. The coxswain, if applicable, can be of either gender and is not included in the crew numbers.
- Scratchings / Non-Starters: Scratchings should be made ONLINE on the rowIT web site (https://rowit.nz) or at the Regatta Secretary’s Office at the Control (Judges’) Tower in writing. Scratchings made after midday Friday May 1st will incur a Scratching Fee of $25 – unless supported with a medical certificate.
Any rower who is entered in any event, but does not attend the regatta, will only receive a credit for entry fees charged where their club has correctly removed them from all events entered. This can be done in the following ways:
● Through rowIT before the close of entries or
● With permission of the Regatta Controller who will allow
- Substitution of another rower who meets the criteria of the event (age/gender/ability) or
- Scratching of the crew from the event
